Recent htaccess -ExecCGI breaks installer on my server

" -ExecCGI " in the htaccess breaks something with my server setup. I get 403 Forbidden for anything in the directory or below. What does having this in the htaccess do? Any ideas if there is anything I should change in my server config? Thanks

Upcoming Hosting Maintenance - server reboots required

We've just received notification from our hosting provider (Linode) that there is maintenance scheduled on all of our servers to patch 5 critical XEN vulnerabilities (this is the software that runs the servers). These vulnerabilities are going to be "released" on March 10th, so Linode is taking care of this patching before it becomes public (which is a good thing). There is no action needed on your part, but there will be a reboot of your server during the assigned maintenance window....

Just today I found one of my sites with this ERROR: dbConnect() unable to connect to database server "localhost" MySQL error 1045 - Access denied for user 'mysite_jamroom'@'localhost' (using password: YES) I tried this but did not work: https://archive.jamroom.net/Jamroom4_Change_MySQL_Password I guess because I have installed JR5..?

.htaccess file not found but present on server

I have attempted several times to install Jamroom on a second site, but get the message that the .htaccess file is not found. However, the file is present in the directory.

Moving to new server Tomorrow morning (Nov 25th)

Just a quick note to let everyone know I am going to be moving Jamroom.net to a new server tomorrow morning (Tuesday, November 25th) and will be doing this around 7am PST. Site will not be down at any time, but it may take up to 30 minutes or so for DNS to propagate until you see the new server. I plan on putting the OLD server in maintenance mode at that time, and the new server will be "waiting" for you once DNS updates wherever you are. Jamroom is still performing without issue on the...

When trying to login I get this message on a white screen:- unable to copy modules/jrChat/templates/chat.tpl to template cache directory: data/cache/jrCore I have had my site down for three days due to issues with godaddy and nameservers . The site is up again now that they have allowed nameservers but I cannot login.
